Night Market

Intro

Night Market is a 3D environment I created in 2023.

It incorporates many elements from Taiwanese night markets to create an immersive first-person shooting game, allowing players to experience the unique atmosphere of a bustling night market.

In this project, I designed the scene as an environment for a shooting game, carefully considering composition and how to use various objects to create interactive levels for players.

I used Maya to model all assets, such as buildings, vendors, and buckets. Afterward, I imported everything into Unreal Engine 5, where I applied materials and textures, some of which I created myself, to enhance the realism and immersion of the environment.

I started by sketching a concept for the production, followed by creating a blockout to establish the scene's composition. This initial stage helped me define the layout, making it easier to manage details and refine the scene as I progressed.

I applied various materials and textures to the objects to enhance their realism, adding depth and authenticity to each element in the scene.

I also created custom textures by designing texture maps, including diffuse, roughness, and normal maps, using Photoshop and Illustrator. These maps added layers of detail, making the objects appear more realistic and textured in the final scene.
